About Dr. Kuehnemann
Dr. Herbert Kuehnemann began moonlighting in
hospitals back in 1967. It was a part-time job during his freshman
year in college. This was before there were Intensive Care Units,
pagers, central air conditioning, piped in oxygen, carpeted floors,
and many other amenities that we take for granted in our newer
hospitals. Then it became time to continue college or be drafted
into the military. Dr. Kuehnemann chose to enlist as a Navy Hospital
Corpsman to serve with the US Marine Corps. After his release from
active duty, he continued his undergraduate studies at UW-Madison
and UW-Stevens Point. After graduation in 1974, he attended the
University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics Advanced Respiratory
Therapy Program. Dr. Kuehnemann has worked in many areas of medicine
as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. He has been employed as a staff
therapist, supervisor, department head, college instructor, and
finally a home care therapist for a Fortune 500 Company. He has worked
in civilian and military hospitals in
A rib pain between his shoulder blades could not be resolved with normal medical treatment. In a measure of desperation, Dr. Kuehnemann sought out Chiropractic care as a pure skeptic. Chiropractic care filled the need to fix patients before they were critically or chronically ill. This made more sense than always trying to rescue very seriously ill and dying patients. This was often too much too late and too expensive. "Fix them before they are broken" became part of his future philosophy.
He married Peggy Glueckstein in 1985 and they
